Irish Youth Foundation Case Study

The Irish Youth Foundation (IYF) was established in 1985 by Norma Smurfit to meet the needs of young people experiencing extreme and adverse conditions in their lives.

Our driving passion is to build a brighter future for vulnerable and at risk children and young people.

What We Do
We raise funds for local groups throughout Ireland focusing on:

• After School and Homework Clubs
• Creative Education
• Play and Recreational Facilities
• Drug and Alcohol Prevention
• Citizenship and Leadership

The Need:
The importance of team work is fundamental in the Irish Youth Foundation and working with each other as a team in an out of office experience was extremely valuable to us. We also got to work as a team with loyal supporters of the Irish Youth Foundation and this was a fantastic relationship building experience.

The Outcome:
Aside from having such a fun day, we learned a lot about how our team worked and it was a valuable experience to see how we motivated, supported, guided and communicated with each other.
